The process with Hugo was a pleasant experience. Beyond the main subject itself, he and I bonded over the lives of artists and fatherhood. He was open creatively to the ideas that we started with and flexible as we developed and changed throughout the process.
Describing the work of Atlantic Archives can be complicated. As a new organization with multiple objectives, it is a challenge to sum up our project with one image or idea. Hugo was excellent at creating a dialogue with me to understand the true nature of our work, the inspirations, and the community that is being built.
We are pleased with how the art turned out. It gives us the opportunity to not only represent the work of Atlantic Archives, but also to pay homage to those who have inspired us.
